GRAPEVINE -- Lloyd McBride Lewellen, 89, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Lucas Funeral Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A native of Shreveport, La., Lloyd was born March 6, 1924, to Fred and Lillie Kihneman. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater. He was an artist and an electrical sign designer for 40 years. Survivors: His wife of 51 years, Bea; daughter, Betty; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
