BEDFORD -- Lorene L. "Rene" Farrell departed this earth Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7620 Baker Blvd., Richland Hills. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: The family requests that donations in her memory be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, calvary@calvaryftw.org. Lorene was born May 17, 1942, in Denver, Colo., and had resided in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area since 1986. She retired from American Airlines, where she was employed for over 16 years, primarily as a secretary in the legal department. She was a spokesperson for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and lead up the American Airlines "Race 4 The Cure" for many years. Lorene was also an avid quilter. Survivors: Her memory will be cherished by those she loved and who loved her, her husband of 42 years, Duane; her daughters, Lisa and Denise and their husbands, Rich and Rob; her sister, Yvonne; grandchildren, Stoy and Aspen; and numerous extended family and friends.
