Lorraine Tatarevich

Lorraine Tatarevich, 82, of Bedford, passed away Monday, September, 8, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, 817-284-7271. Lorraine was born September 24, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Tarrant County, most of which was in Hurst. She had a lifelong commitment to her family and community. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always there for her family and friends. Lorraine had a long and distinguished career in education and public service. She retired from the HEB school district as a teacher and administrator. Lorraine served 18 years on the HEB School Board, several terms on the Hurst City Council, and was inducted into the HEB Hall of Fame. Lorraine’s contributions to her family and community will leave a lasting legacy for many years to come. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sister, and husband, Tony. She is survived by her three sons, Jim Tatarevich, Ted Tatarevich, and Donnie Anderson; her daughters-in-law, Jenny Tatarevich, Julie Palmer Tatarevich, and Sheila Anderson; and her two grandchildren, Taylor Tatarevich and Toni Tatarevich.
