Louise Fairchild

BEDFORD -- Louise R. Fairchild, 86, passed away July 14, 2011 and awoke in the arms of her Lord. Funeral: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at First Euless Baptist Church, 1000 Airport Fwy., Euless. Visitation: Will be held on Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Ms. Fairchild was born in Dallas on May 18, 1923 as one of the first babies born at Baylor Hospital. She attended Prairieville School as a child and won writing awards at Kaufman County fairs. After graduating from Mabank High School, she attended Tyler Junior College and SMU. She worked as Personnel Director for E.M. Kahn & Co. and later as Store Manager for Perrys Stores. However, the true calling in her life was Christian ministry to women. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years, as well as serving as a WMU mission training director for the Dallas Baptist Association. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ola Richman; husband, Lloyd Fairchild; brother, Herbert Richman; and sister, Helen Wisdom. Survivors: Son, Sam Fairchild; daughter-in-law, Kathy; three grandchildren, Amy, Woody and John; one great-grandson, Parker; and numerous nephews and nieces.
