Luther Jones

BEDFORD -- Luther Ray Jones passed away Wednesday morning, March 28, 2012, at the age of 79. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. "Luke" enlisted in the Navy in 1951 and served five years. He was employed by Jones Auto Supply (later CarQuest) for over 60 years. Luke loved his family and fast cars. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Schneider; and great-granddaughter, Lilly. Survivors: His wife of 58 years, Nancy; daughters, Donna Pitchford and husband, Harold, Judy Krivitskiy and husband, Gennadiy, and his youngest daughter, Laura and husband, Drew; grandchildren, Shea Pitchford and wife, Jennifer, Jill Johnson and her husband, Cory, and Tanner Pitchford and his wife, Holly; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Emily Pitchford; and nephews, Pete and David Schneider.
