KELLER -- Luther D. Lowrance, 79, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller, with burial in Bluebonnet Hills at a later date. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Church, Global Missions Dept., 500 S. Nolen, Suite 300, Southlake, Texas 76092. Born in Quitaque, Luther grew up on several farms as a child. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduating from high school, and he retired after 20 years as master sergeant from the 7th Bomber Wing, SAC at Carswell Air Force Base on April 1, 1969. Luther was married to Deanie for over 52 years before her death in 2005. They became Christians in 1969, which changed the course of our family. Luther was a devoted member of Gateway Church in Southlake. Luther was an active member of the Keller Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanie Lowrance; brothers, Gerald and O.V. Lowrance; and parents, Oscar Lowrance and Mandy Stephens. Survivors: Children, Becky Null, Susan Thomasson and husband, Mark, Kenneth Lowrance and wife, Belinda; grandchildren, Glenn Lowrance and wife, Adrienne, Jody Null and wife, Jana, Cody Null and wife, Eva, Andrew Thomasson and wife, Sarah, Amy Flores and husband, Arthur, Angela Patton and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Valeria, Leila and Aiden Null, Taylor, Cameron and Kevin Patton, Drew and Simeon Thomasson; brothers, Tommy Lowrance and wife, Virginia, Sam Lowrance and wife, Ann; sister, Earline McCormack; and numerous nieces and nephews.
