MANSFIELD -- M.A. Dean, 81, a retired bricklayer, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial: Rendon Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home. M.A. was born in Avery on Feb. 28, 1926, the son of Robert and Lillie Dean. He married Mildred Faye O'Rear on Sept. 19, 1946, in DeKalb. M.A. was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, and son, David Dean. Survivors: Children, Glenda Horton and husband, Waymond, and Mark Dean and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, David Horton and wife, Valerie, Michael Horton and wife, Joanna, Steven Horton and wife, Dondi, and Vanessa Russell and husband, Toby; 12 great grandchildren; many extended family members.
