FORT WORTH -- Maggie Lee Moore, 96, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at her residence. Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Shannon Memorial Chapel at Calvario. Visitation: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Contributions in memory of Mrs. Moore are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. Born in Garner on Jan. 6, 1911, Maggie Lee was the daughter of Lem and Mattie Lee Boyd Lamkin. She was married to Henry P. Moore, who died in 1985. After graduating from high school at age 16, Maggie attended Weatherford Junior College, where she received her teaching certification. She returned to teach in Garner at age 18 and in 1938 moved to Fort Worth, where she taught in the Castleberry schools. She was a member of Connell Baptist Church. Survivors: Her son, Wilson Moore and his wife, Cheryl of Plano; granddaughter, Jemma Moore Irish and her husband, Derek of Houston; great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Elisa and Jack; brother-in-law, Fred Patterson of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
