She was born in Comanche on Oct. 26, 1927, to Jefferson D. and Fannie Johnson Farrar. After graduating from Comanche High School and attending Texas Tech University, she went on to pursue a career in the medical profession as a registered X-ray technician and nurse and was a member of the American Radiological Society. Booker's hobby was her family and she found great joy in her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wilma Farrar Maples of Abilene. Survivors: Husband of 63 years, Howard; son, Richard A. Parsley and his wife, Lea Ann Lortz Parsley; and grandchildren, Kristen and Daniel Parsley.
