???FORT WORTH -- Ruth Rogers Scott, 94, a Fort Worth native, died peacefully Monday morning, Jan. 19, 2009. ?????? Service: 4 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at University Christian Church, 2720 S. University Drive. The Rev. Dr. Alan Lobaugh will officiate. Ruth will be laid to rest privately next to her husband, Ernest, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: Her family will receive friends in the church parlor immediately after the service. ?????? Born on June 23, 1914, Margaret Ruth was the daughter of William Monroe and Florence Margaret Jahn Rogers. She was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. ?????? Ruth and her husband, Claude, owned and operated Hillcrest Beauty Salon in downtown Fort Worth. She was a longtime member of University Christian Church. ?????? In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude M. Clifton, Ernest M. Allison and John A. Scott; and her sister, June Rogers Cutchin. ?????? Survivors: Ruth's survivors include her children, Claudette Finley of Fort Worth and Richard Allison and his wife, Jeanette, of Edmond, Okla.; granddaughter, Shaun Thompson; great-grandson, Ryan Gage Thompson; sister, Doris Rogers Alford and her husband, Bruce, of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
