BEDFORD -- Marjorie D. Watkins, 84, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008. Service: Private. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Marjorie was extremely active in the raising of her children. She enjoyed cooking for the family, playing golf and doing arts and crafts. She was a member of DAR and a descendant who signed the Declaration of Independence. Marjorie won many ribbons for her detailed cross stitch at the State Fair of Texas. She attended Stephens College for High School and received an art scholarship from Kansas University. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; and her great-grandson, Joshua. Survivors: Her loving husband of 59 years, Ray; sons, Gordon and wife, Vicki, of Kearney, Mo., and Warren of Bedford; daughters, Marjorie and husband, Earl, of Amarillo and Gretchen and husband, Gary, of Hurst; grandchildren, Bryan and wife, Becky, of Euless, Shaun of St. Petersburg, Fla., Staff Sgt. Sean and Rachael of Fort Gordon, Ga., Crick and wife, Kim, of Kansas City, Mo.; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn; and family pet, Katie.
