Mark Kummerle

Mark Thomas Kummerle      KELLER -- Mark Thomas Kummerle, 43, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, after a long, courageous battle against metastatic melanoma.        Celebration of life: will be held in Keller in May.        Memorials: A scholarship fund has been established for Payton and Trace Kummerle at Chase Bank, 2300 West Southlake Blvd., Southlake, Texas 76092.        Born Sept. 21, 1968, in Covina, Calif., to Owen and Gertrud Kummerle, he grew up in Modesto, Calif., and moved to Keller in 2005. Mark was employed by Costco Wholesale for 20 years.        He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrud Kummerle, and grandparents.        The family would like to thank the medical team at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center of UTSW in Dallas for the ongoing research, commitment, exceptional care and compassion Mark received throughout his three-year battle, as well as the compassion Odyssey Hospice provided during these final months to our family.        Survivors: His wife, Julie; his daughter, Payton; his son, Trace; his family in California, Owen and wife, Marietta, of Modesto, his brother and family, Reiner and Liz, Karl and Madeline of Galt, and his sister and family, Nicole and Will Lorenz, Charis and Elise of Rancho Santa Margarita; several other family members; and many close friends.
