NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Marlin Bert Miller entered into rest Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. Funeral: and burial will be at a later date in Omaha, Neb. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Memorials: Any U.S. veterans' organization of choice. Marlin Bert Miller was born in Omaha, Neb., on Sept. 16, 1922, to Bert and Merle Vanslyke Miller. He married Corrine Greco in 1942. He proudly served in the Air Force in World War II and in the Marine Corps Reserves in Korea. Marlin worked for Lockheed. He was assistant fire chief and marshall from 1960-63, on the Parks and Recreation Board and a volunteer for the city of North Richland Hills. He was president of the Dan Echols Senior Center and was assistant state director for AARP. He played keyboard with the Kitchen Band in Keller. He was preceeded in death by his parents; wife; brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Harley and Rose Slusher; and a great-nephew, Jeff Slusher. Survivors: Nephews, Anthony, Delmonte and Phillip Slusher; niece, Marcianne Parks; great-nephews, Joshua Fritz, Bryan Parks, Taylor Partridge and Tony Slusher; great-nieces, Dawn Cuje, Lisa Partridge, Shannon Johnston, Carrie Langdon, Kim Orr and Shizuko Aldridge; and great-great-nephews, Harley and Zander Partridge.
