Marsha Hileman

Marsha Erlene Sweet Hileman loving mother, grandmother, and friend passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. Memorial Service: 6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at First United Methodist Church Mansfield. Born Aug. 23, 1947 in Geneva, IL to Kendall and Lucile (Ferguson) Sweet, she married Darrell Hileman in 1968 and lived in Aurora and Hinckley, IL and moved to Texas in 1998 to be closer to her two daughters and grandchildren. Marsha served as an avid volunteer in Illinois and Texas. She was PTA president for Beaupre (IL), District 2 Director for Illinois State PTA, and was active in Hinckley First United Methodist Church (IL) and First United Methodist Church of Mansfield. Marsha was lay delegate to the Northern Ill. Conference of UMC, chaired the Conference Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry, and a member of DeKalb District Education Committee. In Texas, she was active in the First UMC Mansfield serving as UMW president, Central Texas Conference Delegate, a member of Seekers Sunday School Class and Bible Study, and formed the SONSHINE Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell, her father Kendall and her mother Lucile. Survivors: Daughters, Kristi (Frank) Carroll, Kendra (Dan Formanowicz); Grandchildren Joe and Julia Carroll, Abigail and Megan Formanowicz; beloved sister, Ruth Wiese; two wonderful brothers, Kendall Sweet II and John Sweet; three nieces, eight nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and four young ladies she loved like daughters, Kelly, Kim, Kristen, and Nickey.
