Martha McDonald

HURST -- Martha Jo McDonald, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.        Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday in Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst. She will be cremated and lovingly cared for by her family. The family will meet friends at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, for the viewing and rosary.        Martha Jo, a native of Dallas, was born Oct. 13, 1933, to Joe A. Johnson and Mattie B. Bunch. She graduated in 1981 with a master's degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She retired in 1994 from Weber County Mental Health in Ogden, Utah. Martha's greatest joys were her family, her dog, Gizzy, and her Dallas Cowboys.        She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Paul McDonald, and one son, David.        Survivors: Daughter, Sandra Donney and husband, Charles; sons, Michael, John and wife, Lisa, Robert and wife, Carol, Patrick, Kelly and wife, Lisa, and Matt and wife, Wendi; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four brothers.
