ARLINGTON -- Martin Adam Edinger, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008. Memorials: may be made to First Baptist Church, building fund, 1800 E. Broad St., Mansfield 76063, 817-473-1161. Martin was born on Aug. 10, 1921, in Edmund, N.D. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army (164th Infantry - South Pacific) and was decorated with the Purple Heart for his heroic actions during battle. Marty retired from Sherwin Williams after 27 years as branch manager. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors: His wife of 61 years, Marcella Irene Edinger; his sons, Steve of Grand Forks, N.D., Stewart and family of Arlington, and Brian and family of Midlothian; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Benny Edinger and wife, Frieda of Longview and Clayton Edinger of Grand Forks, N.D.
