MANSFIELD -- Marvin E. "Gene" May, 61, a ceramic tile setter, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home. Gene was born April 3, 1946, in Waterloo, Ala. He was a graduate of Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. Gene served in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Glenda Faye Stringer. Gene was a member of Lakeside Church of Christ and New Hope Baptist Church. Faye and the kids would like to thank all the wonderful family and friends who helped them through this difficult time.
