Mary Bowen

Mary Evelyn Bowen, 92, passed away at 6:50 P.M. on Friday, February 17, 2012, in Kindred Hospital of Mansfield . Mary was born in Duffau, Texas on June 10, 1919, the daughter of Gerome Curtis Webb and Opha Margaret Standifer Webb and lived most of her life in Arlington and Mansfield. She married Willie Lehman "Bill" Bowen in Montague, Texas on June 2, 1935. She sang in a Gospel quartet for forty plus years. Mary taught Sunday school and was a beauty operator for 18 years. She was a charter member of Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington and was presently a member of First Baptist Church of Mansfield. She will be missed by a lot of friends and neighbors and her family. She has gone to heaven to be with "her Bill" as she said so many times. Survivors include her Sons, Berley Wade Bowen and wife Carolyn and Curtis Dwight Bowen and wife, Helen; grandchildren, Lisa Reasoner, Clint Bowen and Ricci D'Lee Winget; great grandchildren; great great granddaughter.
