FORT WORTH -- Mary Lois Thompson Coomes, 79, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012. Funeral Mass: Noon Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 261 St. Anthony Road, Utica, Ky. Interment will follow immediately after in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 261 St. Anthony Road, Utica, Ky. Lois' life was filled with her kids, quilting, fishing, gardening, working puzzles and a strong passion for the Texas Rangers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles U. and Mary E. Thompson; one sister; and three brothers. Survivors: Daughters, Barbara Bell and Carl, Sheila Slatter and John; sons, Kenny Coomes and Sherry, Bruce Coomes and Mindy, Jeff Coomes and Teresa and Curtis Coomes and Alicia; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
