NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Mary Frances Dearing Eudy, 85, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, after a courageous battle with cancer and pneumonia. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Mary was born Jan. 11, 1927, to Horace and Blache Dearing in Coahoma (a little wide space in the road East of Big Spring). She was an amazing lady; she gave so much and asked for little. She was a loving nurturing mother, inspiring grandmother and a loving friend. Her sense of humor and positive attitude was awesome even during her sickest days. Her blue eyes could easily scold you or melt your heart. After raising four kids, she decided to go back to school at the age of 40. She graduated from TCC in its nursing program and started a new career as a registered nurse at All Saints-Baylor Hospital in Fort Worth until she retired in 1984. She loved helping others and it showed through her nursing career. We will miss her terribly but know that she is no longer hurting and she will continue to bless us with her love. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Floyd C. Eudy, and sons, Raymond H. and F. David. Survivors: Daughters, Wanda Elaine Eudy and Mary Ellen Phillips; her adopted Chicago kid, Janet Tomaszewski; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; friends; and her little dog, Sammie.
