MARY LONG

Mary Elizabeth was born May 6, 1919, in Trinidad to parents, John Thomas and Zanie Holloway Jones. Her family and church were the important values in her life.  One of the accomplishments of which she was most proud was being recognized for having attended Sunday school for 47 years without missing a Sunday. She was a member of Wedgwood Baptist Church, where she served as greeter at the south door for 40 years. She was president of the Esther Sunday School Class for 30 years. Her skills of quilting and embroidery have been enjoyed by many.  In addition to her husband, Sue was preceded in death by two grandsons.  Survivors: Daughters, Janice Romo-Storey and husband, Ray, Elizabeth Hailey, Dayle Perez and husband, Chris; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
