DALLAS -- Elizabeth Elliston Stephens, 97, died peacefully Monday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2009. ?????? Service: Mrs. Stephens' cremated remains will be placed privately next to her husband, David Wynne Stephens, in Greenwood Memorial Park. ?????? Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Stephens' family suggests contributions to Cook Children's Medical Center or a charity of one's choice, in Elizabeth's memory. ?????? A native of Fort Worth, Elizabeth was born July 18, 1911, the daughter of Hugh and Maggie Potts Elliston. She was a descendant of pioneer Fort Worth families. ?????? Elizabeth was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, The Assembly, River Crest Country Club and the Fort Worth Club. She was a past president of the Women's Auxiliary of Cook Children's Medical Center, where she worked as a volunteer for many years. ?????? In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Elizabeth, who died in 1966. ?????? Her daughter wishes to thank Kena Williams and Janice Oatman for the kind and gentle care they provided Mrs. Stephens during her final years. ??????
