Mary Lou Thompson passed away in her sleep early Sunday morning, January 11, 2015, in her home and surrounded by family. She was 80 years old. The visitation will begin at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 14th, at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas, immediately followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Afterwards, there will be a brief gathering at Bourland Cemetery Pavilion in Keller. Mary Lou was born on Dawson Street in Dallas, Texas to John and Ruby Jane Borth on June 17th, 1934. She married Robert Neil Thompson from Dawson, Texas in 1951, and gave birth to three children. She dedicated her life to her family, who had the fortune to share in her love for cooking, her sense of fun and laughter, and her warm generosity. Journaling, books, music, and nature also filled her life with happiness. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert, and her brother, Hank. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Judy and Celinda; her sisters, Betty and Nelda; her grandchildren, James, Kelly, Natalie, and Shana; and four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Ashlyn, Jade, and Grey.
