NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Mary E. Young quietly passed away surrounded by her family Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.        Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.        Memorials: You may honor her with a gift to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's.        Mary was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Struthers, Ohio, to Wayne and Elizabeth Green. On April 5, 1943, in Fort Worth, Mary married Thomas Roy Young; he preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1959. Mary (also known as "Madie" or "Meme") thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lit up a room with her smile and laughter, and touched all who knew and loved her.        In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patrica Young.        Survivors: Children, Diana E. Johnson of North Richland Hills and Tommy W. Young and wife, Debbie, of Watauga; grandchildren, Sheila Johnson, Kimberly Smith and husband, Kelly, Arron Young and wife, Amy, Alissa Powell, John Young and wife, Malissa, and Bobby Fisher and wife, Brittania; great-grandchildren, Cody Wierzbicki, Layne Young, Payton Young, Shay Young, Chevelle Powell, Shane Powell and Savannah Young; and sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Wilson and Virgie Tucker, David Johnson and Margie Weaver, Bettye and Roy Wilson, and Kristi and Jeff Reneau.
