FORT WORTH -- Virginia Goodroe Young, 85, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully Wednesday morning, Dec. 13, 2006. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday in the cemetery. The Rev. Lawrence M. Hammond will officiate. Burial: Virginia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Eliot, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tyler. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to All Saints Episcopal Church-Amazing Grace Orphanage, 5001 Crestline Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107, in memory of Virginia is suggested. Born March 1, 1921, in Marthasville, La., Mary Virginia was the daughter of Lloyd and Essie Mae Walden Goodroe. Her husband, Eliot Joshua Young, preceded her in death in 1994.
