Mavis Doris Fry

Mavis Doris Fry passed away December 1, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Lucas Funeral Home Mavis was born on April 4, 1931 in Osage, TX to Garrett and Maggie Sparkman. She married Roy C. Fry in 1951 after graduating nursing school in Hamilton, Texas. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Worth where she worked for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Walter Leroy Sparkman and Willie Mae Rainwater. Mavis was survived by her husband, Roy C. Fry; daughter, Delta Fry Johnston and husband Dan; son Kenneth Fry and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Jacob Johnston, Tammy Vaughn, Kristi Vaughn, and Crystal Smith; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Aaron, Hailey, and Kayla; and many other extended family and friends.
