WHITNEY -- Max A. Wagner, 68, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Funeral: 9 a.m. Saturday in Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Bourland Cemetery, Keller. Visitation: The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home. Memorials: The family respectfully requests, instead of flowers, friends who desire may honor his memory with memorial contributions in Max's name to your local food bank. Max was born March 30, 1942, in Steinauer, Neb., to Ardis and Albert Wagner. He grew up in Filley, Neb., graduating from Filley High School in 1960 where he excelled in all sports. He married Janith Faye Schuster, Feb. 12, 1961, in Lewiston, Neb. They moved to Arlington in 1969. He retired from Lewis & Lambert as a sheet metal specialist in 2004. He moved to Lake Whitney, to pursue his hobbies of fishing, golfing and riding his Harley. He was a life time member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Dean Wagner; and son, Terry Lee Wagner. Survivors: Son, Todd Alan Wagner of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Les Bentz of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; granddaughter, Dakota; former wife and friend, Jan Marselli; brothers, Donald, Larry and Jimmy Wagner; sisters, Betty Olson, Peggy Mosher, Shelby Jost, Joyce Fergerson and Jinger Neville; two sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
