MAXINE JONES

FORT WORTH -- Maxine Call Jones passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, in her 87th year.        Service: A celebration of Maxine's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1404 Sycamore School Road. The Rev. Dr. Michael Clark, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Kevin White, a close family friend, will officiate. Maxine's cremated remains will be placed in Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Okla., during the springtime. Fellowship with family and friends will be held immediately after the memorial service.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church, to honor Maxine's memory, is suggested.        Born in Lawton, Okla., on April 28, 1922, Maxine was the daughter of Fred A. and Grace Elena Whitlow Call. She graduated from Lawton High School before marrying her sweetheart, Earl Jones.        Maxine was a very loving wife and mother to their two wonderful children; they were happy and very involved in church and community.        She had a strong faith in God and people saw that in her and enjoyed having spiritual talks with her friends and family and was a light to all that crossed her path. Maxine will will be truly missed by all whom she touched throughout her life.        Survivors: In addition to her husband of 69 years, Earl, Maxine is survived by her children, Cassandra Sue Kyser and son, Fred E. Jones and his wife, Zoe; grandchildren, Rodney Kyser and his wife, Lorie, Doug Kyser, Tracy Lynn Halsey, Kimberly Dawn Kadura, Shari Ranee Landram and her husband, John, Zackariah Vinson, Whitney Vinson Putnam and her husband, Tim, and Kyle Earl Jones; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, T.J. Call and his wife, Nancy, of New Braunfels; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
