Mayme Marie Ford

Marie Ford was born on June 19, 1923, in Affinity, West Virginia, to Henry and Sarah Jordon. Marie grew up in Volga, West Virginia. She met Troy Ford in Blackstone, Virginia, while Troy was in the military and Marie was working as a telephone operator. They were married in Crewe, Virginia, on January 15, 1945, and moved to Texas where they raised their family. Marie was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She was actively involved in her children's school activities and was a lifetime member of the PTA. Marie also worked at Sears and Montgomery Ward in their accounting departments once her children were in high school. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Ford, after 60 years of marriage, a son, Fred David Ford, and three grandsons, Richard Hankins, Randy Hankins, and Michael Ford. SURVIVORS: Son, Gary Ford and his wife Karen; daughter, Cynthia Ford; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Ford; grandchildren, Brian Ford and his wife Christy, Laura Ford Airhart and her husband Morgan, Christopher Ford and his wife Shannon, and Tanya Ford Boswell; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
