BEDFORD -- Mell Robert "Bobby" Godbee III left us Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011. We will miss his infectious and welcome smile, his wit and his athletic skill and tenacity.        Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.        Bobby was born Dec. 29, 1986, in Bedford. He participated in many youth sports in the Mid-Cites area, including hockey, football, soccer, basketball and baseball. He played quarterback, safety and receiver while attending Birdville and L.D. Bell high school, and was a founding member of the Texas state champion Alliance Rugby Club. He graduated from The Winfrey Academy in 2006.        Bobby was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Jimmy Brewster and J.B. Davis, and paternal grandparents, Mell Robert Godbee and Sally Ann Godbee.        Survivors: Bobby leaves behind a son, Carsyn Easterling, 3, of Rogers, Ark., and Carsyn's mother, Emily Easterling; father, Mell Robert Godbee II and mother, Lori Brewster Godbee; loving sisters, Amanda and Ashley; stepmother, Andrea Rader and stepfather, Freeman Harvey; stepsiblings, John, Anne and Jessica Rader and Hannah and Heather Harvey; maternal grandmother, Marcy Davis; paternal grandmother, Joyce Godbee; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
