Melvin Hamm

Melvin Hamm, 73, of Burleson, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 29, 2008. Memorial Service: 10 a.m., Monday at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave., Burleson. Melvin was born October 11, 1934 in Ropesville, Texas, the son of James Luther and Lethie Burrows Hamm. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Raymond Hamm, and by his sister, Florine Worsham. Survivors: Wife, Sarah Shaffer; sons, Russell Clay Rusty Hamm, Christopher Fulk; daughters, Cynthia Kay Hawkins, Melanie Ann Sumner, Cynthia Jean Hutzel, Cheryl Ann Sparks; grandchildren, Charles Kory Hawkins, Ethan Randall Hawkins, Kelvin Ray Sumner, Sandra Hutzel, Tonia Hutzel, Chet James Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Amethyst, Logan, and Lena Hawkins, Jacob Hutzel, Kameron Burkett; brother, Edwin Hamm, and by his sister, Madine Fairbairn.
