Meta Bryan

HALTOM CITY -- The beautiful spirit of Meta Inez Bryan passed peacefully, in the loving presence of family, on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home, 517 N. Sylvania, Fort Worth. Private interment: Acton Cemetery. Visitation: Friends may call at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the tremendous care and compassion provided by Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Inez was born in 1924 in Sayre, Okla., but had lived in the Fort Worth area since 1942. She worked in the war industry during World War II and attended Elliott Business School and Tarrant County College. One of her accomplishments for which she was most proud was her 34-year professional career with Lennox Heating and Air Conditioning. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Haltom City. She loved to write poetry, garden, cook, play 42 and spend time with friends and family. She grew up in the Great Depression and as a result she "reduced, reused and recycled" before it was cool! Most importantly, she was a generous and loving person. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone and always encouraged others to be nicer to one another. She was good at love, generously bestowing her love on others. She lived a good and full life, with many exciting adventures. She will be sorely missed. Survivors: Sister, Wanda Jean Pritchett; daughter, Martha Lynn Baxter; granddaughters, Melissa Steen, and Barbara Clark-Galupi and her husband, Charlie Galupi; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kayden Steen and Meta Sophia Galupi; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
