Michael Doran

MANSFIELD -- Michael Joseph Doran, 71, realtor for Century 21 Judge Fite in Mansfield, passed away Monday, January 15, 2007 in a Mansfield hospital.  Funeral: 11 AM Friday at St Jude Catholic Church. Burial: 1 PM Friday at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 PM Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home.  Memorials: American Heart Association.  Michael was born May 4, 1935, to Richard and Lela Morris Doran. He married Nanci Frederick on August 24, 1991.  His many hobbies included golf, VO and Water, watching his Mavericks, Cowboys, Rangers, his many great friends, and enjoying the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Walnut Creek Country Club, Retired Men's Golf Association at WCCC, and proud founder of the Doran Sunday Couples Group at WCCC.  One of his greatest accomplishments was the opportunity to try out with the Detroit Tigers as a catcher.  Michael is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 4 brothers.  Survivors: Wife, Nanci; brother, Jim Doran of Detroit, MI; children, Julie Mussio, and husband, Tom, of Ann Arbor, MI, Ellen Lichterman, and husband, John, of Los Angeles, CA, Marigrace Doran, of Jacksonville, FL, Gary Doran, and wife, Stephanie, of Meridianville, AL, John Doran, and wife, Heidi, of Tallahassee, FL, and Bridget Doran, of Chicago, IL; stepchildren, Kimberly Clark, and husband Cary, of Arlington, Sue Anne Blackwelder, and husband, Bobby, of Arlington, Jim Frederick, and wife, Jamie, of Mansfield, Scott Frederick, and wife, Kelly, of Fort Worth, and Amy Rich, and husband, Bryne, of Mckinney; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and more than 52 nieces and nephews.
