HURST -- Michael Anthony Stanisci Jr. passed from this life to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 7, 2015, in Fort Worth. Celebration Mass: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at St. George Catholic Church Fort Worth. Interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive guests 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity. Michael was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Dallas to Michael A. and Mae Stanisci. He attended Dallas schools and the University of Arlington State. Michael served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954 on the USS Cunningham, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Occupational Service Medal, a Purple Heart, the China Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He had a successful business career in sales working for Lind Reed Paper Company, Summit Paper Company, and was owner of Central Glass Company. Michael was a member and officer of the Fort Worth Cycle Club for numerous years, as well as a member and officer of the Texas Motorcycle Roadriders Association. He was an active member of St. George Catholic Church of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Grace S. Denney; and brother, Angelo J. Stanisci. Survivors: His faithful wife of 50 years, Linda Mullins Stanisci; daughter, Jaye Lucart and husband, Allen; daughter, Kathy Prop and husband, Jim; daughter, Shannon Mele and husband, Bryan; son, Michael Stanisci and wife, Susan; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of wonderful family and friends.
