Michael "Mickey or Gonzo" Wayne Gonzales

Michael “Mickey or Gonzo” Wayne Gonzales, age 54, passed away November 21st in Bedford, Texas, following a motorcycle accident. He was born December 12th, 1958 in Galveston, Texas to Leopaldo Gonzales and Guadalupe Gonzales Martinez. After graduating Ball High School in 1977 he attended University of Texas at Arlington. Michael gave 33 years of service to Bell Helicopter as an Engineer Technician IV. Michael found joy in spending time with his family, riding his Harley with family and friends, and going to concerts. His favorite place to spend time was on the beach of his hometown. Michael was full of life and had a huge heart - he often spent time giving back to his community and veterans. Michael is preceded in death by his father Leopaldo, mother Guadalupe, stepfather Inez D. Martinez, and brother Lee Gonzales. Survived by his son Michael James and daughter Ashlyn; son Michael Medina; sister Sylvia and husband Ben; brother Ron and wife Niki; sister Cindy and husband Gary; sister Donna; and sister-in-law Diane. Michael is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and two great-great nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26th at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas.
