?ARLINGTON -- Mildred Louise Hogan Lee, 84, went home to her Heavenly Father, Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at her home in Arlington, surrounded by her loving husband of 67 years, Wayne; son, Michael; daughter, Judy; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; friends; and the wonderful staff of Phoenix Hospice Group. Born May 9, 1924, in Tempson to Claude, a vaudeville stage performer, and Della Hogan, Mildred inherited many of the artist talents. She was always humming a song as she sewed, painted, grew beautiful roses, created and crafted many costumes and projects for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Before becoming an Alzheimer's victim, Mildred, or Meema as she was known by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their friends, was a Mansfield Hospital volunteer for 20 years after retiring from Temco, later LTV, after 20 years. She saw the low farmland of Cedar Hill become Joe Pool Lake during her retirement years as she acted as the "First Aid Lady" on the land as it was cleared for the lake.
