He was reunited with the love of his life and mother of his children, Vivian, whom he was separated from for 18 years. We will be eternally grateful for the companionship of his second wife, Sterline Dobbs, the last 17 years of his life who gave him happiness and purpose. He lived a long, full life, being an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings, including years as a Temple worker in the Dallas Temple. Monty was an avid genealogist having completed over 1,000 names for temple work. Monty served his Country as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army, received his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M, and worked for General Dynamics/Lockheed-Martin for 37 years, having designed engine and wing installations for the F-111, F16 & F22. Monty was born in Wichita Falls, TX to William and Lola Clements, July 7th, 1927. He was the oldest of five children - Monty, Billy Gene, Mavis (Dennis), Carol (Oxborrow) and Gayle (Burton). Monty married Vivian Louella Kirkland, Oct 3, 1951. They had four children, Carl Don (Bonnie), Carrie Birchett (John), Kirk (Geri), and Monette Hansen (Robert). They had 14 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. He leaves a legacy for us to follow as a loving husband, father, grandfather and servant of the Lord. God be with you ‘til we meet again!
