Murtice Holt

SOUTHLAKE -- Murtice Marie "Bobbie" Holt, 82, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. Interment: 1 p.m. Tuesday in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg. A native of Warrior, Ala., Bobbie was born Feb. 14, 1929, to J.M. and Evie Tucker Dodd. She met her husband, Marvin, in California and together they traveled from California to Alaska and finally to Leesburg. Following Marvin's death, she moved to Hurst to be near her family. Bobbie was a great cook and also a great shopper. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, J.C. Dodd. Survivors: Daughter, Sheryl "Sheri" Bryant and husband, Ken; son, Michael J. Holt; grandchildren, Arron Holt, Tasha Bryant Dowers; great-granddaughters, Lilly and Shelbi; brother, Don Dodd; and sister, Dorothy Solley.
