ROANOKE -- Noama Beckett, 75, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Naoma was a lifelong resident of Denton County. She retired from Texas Insturments after 33-plus years of service. She also was a firefighter and EMS chief for Roanoke Volunteer Fire Department for 24 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling across country in a motor home, fishing and hunting. Her great loves were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Naoma was passionate about caring for and watching birds. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter and one son. Survivors: Husband of 35 years, Lloyd Beckett; six children; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
