Neal Newns

FORT WORTH -- Neal Graham Newns passed away Thursday, Aug. 28,2008. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., in Keller. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Neal was born in Birkenhead, England, to Alan and Olive Sherlock Newns. He lived in England until 1964 when they moved to Santa Monica, Calif., where they lived until moving to Hawthorne, Calif., in 1988. Neal and Nancy Loraine Mego were married on June 26, 1989, in Torrance, Calif. In 1991, they moved to Atascocita and to Fort Worth in 2007. He earned his bachelor's degree at UCLA, where he also pitched for the baseball team. He was also a youth soccer coach for the Texas HeatWave. Neal was employed as a licensed customs broker and international freight forwarder. Neal had acquired his U.S. Citizenship. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors: Wife and best friend, Nancy Loraine Newns; daughters, Elizabeth Marie and Victoria Oliva Newns; sons, Brian Alan, Michael Dale and Kyle David Shubert and Richard Allen Newns; mother, Olive Newns; brother, Alan Raymond Newns; grandsons, Brian O'Neill Shubert and Deangelo Matthew Newns.
