A retired teacher known for her love of life and vivacious smile and laugh, was called home by her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010. Memorials: Gifts in her name to Metroport Meals on Wheels, 428 N. Highway 377, Roanoke, Texas 76262, are suggested by the family. Nina was born May 4, 1942, to Gordon and Valerio Stephenson of Roanoke. She graduated from Northwest High School and the University of North Texas, where she received a degree in science. Nina taught 20 years in Fort Worth at Meachum Junior High School and Diamond Hill High School. She left teaching for a short period of time to get a med tech degree but after short period of time she said, "Let me get back to the kids." Nina resumed her teaching career at Keller High School and retired after 30 years of teaching. Nina was both loved and respected by all. Nina was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Stephenson; her mother, Valerio Stephenson; and her brother, G.L. Stephenson. Survivors: Her loving husband of 46 years, Morris Outlaw; brothers, Charles Stephenson and wife, Monna, and Wayne Stephenson and wife, Lana; sister-in-law, Peggy Stephenson; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will missed by ALL !!
