Nola Hammons

Nola Kay Landers Hammons, born September 21, 1957 to Nolan Landers and Cynthia Barnes Landers Hendricks. She went home to be with her Christ and Savior on January 9, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. She attended Aubrey schools. She married Leonard L. Hammons on May 23, 1975. Nola enjoyed her children and grandchildren and has said they are the light in her eyes. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Leonard Hammons of Denton, sons Christopher and wife Crystal Hammons of Sanger, Randall and wife Jessica Hammons of Tioga, Michael and wife Misty Hammons of Aubrey and Richard Hammons of Denton and daughter Kristie and husband B.J. Pruitt of Arlington, mother Etta Mae Landers of Denton. Sisters, Vickie and husband Tim Epting of Denton, Sue and husband Ronnie Starr of Callisburg, Joy Biery of Haltom City, Karen and husband Ken Stevens of Denton, and Eva Reader of Denton, brothers, Stephen Landers of Denton and David Clardy of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Nolan Edgar Landers and Cynthia Barnes Landers Hendricks, grandparents Bill and Metta Miller, sister Paula Denise Landers Walterschied, and cousin Lillian Sarah Hammons.
