NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Norris Runge entered the fullness of life on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, in Dallas. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, 941 Bedford-Euless Road, Hurst. The Rev. Walter Waiser, the Rev. Steve Wiechman and the Rev. Bill Lowrey will officiate. Interment: Norris will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. Monday in Bear Creek Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. Memorials: You may honor his memory with a contribution to the Music Ministry of Peace Lutheran Church. Norris was born Feb. 11, 1942, in Washington County (Brenham). He served his country in the United States Army, and retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1993, with the commission of lieutenant, Drivers License Service. The family would like to give special thanks for the loving and tireless care he received over the years by Dr. Marilyn King-Rankine, Fort Worth and Dr. Manish Assar, Dr. Johannes Kuiper and the wonderful staff at Heart Place, Dallas. Survivors: Norris was loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 43 years, Joyce of North Richland Hills; son, Victor "Marty" of Spring; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Malcolm Haas; grandchildren, Landen, Matthew and Malerie Haas of North Richland Hills; brother and sister-in-law, Woody and Linda Runge of Houston; mother-in-law, Blanche Thomas of North Richland Hills; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, "adopted" sons and daughters and countless faithful friends.
