Odell Allen

Odell blessed the union of Odell Anthony and Autherine Woodard Allen (Sr.) with his birth on October 8, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Formally educated in the public schools of Fort

Worth, Odell graduated from Polytechnic High School, where he was a member of the school basketball team.

Following graduation, Odell enlisted in The United States Army on April 6, 1977 in Dallas, Texas.

He was trained to serve as a material supply specialist and was awarded a citation as a rifle sharpshooter.

He was honorably discharge from active duty on April 4, 1980 at Fort Hood, Texas. Odell served

in The Army Reserve, completing his obligation March 18, 1983. On January 9, 1997, Odell united in holy matrimony with Pamela

Burris.

Odell was a lifetime and faithful member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

He retired from The Lear Corporation in Arlington, Texas.

Odell had an outgoing and engaging personality which endeared him to

his many friends. His favorite past times were playing basketball and a game of bingo.

Odell will be held in fond memories of his family: devoted wife Pamela

Allen; their children : Blyan Allen Sr. (Tiffany), Dajaysha ( " Jay")

Allen, Jetaime Allen ; grandchildren: Bryan (Jr.), Jaydan, Kaylen and

Bryce; siblings: Glenda Allen, Alyce Allen, Ruby Coleman and Wayne Allen Sr.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
