RICHLAND HILLS -- Lucille Region passed away at home Saturday, April 23, 2011, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.        Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.        Memorials: We have been blessed with longevity, so please make your memorials to the charity of your choice so that others might enjoy longevity as well.        Lucille was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Weatherford to Stephen and Etta Benton Erwin. She married Earl D. Region on Oct. 10, 1934. She and Earl were blessed to have a long and prosperous 77 years together. Lucille was a member of Richland Hills Baptist Church. Lucille's passion in life was her children. She was a wonderful mother and wife and will be missed dearly by all those that knew her.        A special hug goes out to our wonderful caregivers, Laredo, Linda, Mary and Nilva. We love you more than words can describe. Thanks also to Texas Cardiac Care RNs Tamara, Doug and Amanda, and her physician, Dr. Craig Dearden.        Survivors: Lucille leaves behind a loving husband, Earl D. Region; son, Ronny Region and wife, Sheree La Free Region; daughter, Sue Region Williams and husband, Johnny Williams and their nephew, Jerry Williams; and many dear family members and friends, as well as her beloved cat, Tiger.
