Patricia Cox Simpson, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Funeral: 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Williams and Lucas Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home. Pat was born on October 4, 1939 in Fort Worth to the late Charles and Thelma Cox. She graduated from North Side High School in 1957. She earned a Bachelor of Education from Texas Women's University and a Masters of Education from University of North Texas. She taught fifth grade in Springtown for over 20 years. She was accomplished as an artist where she won several blue ribbons for her paintings at the Texas State Fair and other events. Pat was a proud and active member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church. Above all, she loved her family who will miss her greatly. Pat's hobbies included painting and volunteering for others. She enjoyed volunteering at the National Cowgirl Museum, the North Fort Worth Historical Society, the Stock Yards Museum, N.I.C.A., the TCC Senior Continuing Education Program, Fort Worth Stock Show, and was also a member of the Fort Worth Art Association. Survivors: Daughters, Tracy Harding and husband Jeff and Sheryl Germany; granddaughter, Morgan Harding; grandsons, Charles Harding and Travis Germany; and a host of friends and extended family members.
