Pauline Russell

Pauline Russell passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. Ms. Pauline Russell was a native of Selma, Alabama, born on March 10, 1945, to Joseph and Leona Russell, who both preceded her in death. She resided in Detroit, Michigan, Mobile, Alabama, and Arlington, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age, served in the choir and worked with the youth ministries. She was a member of the Mobile Mass Choir and truly enjoyed singing and worshiping God. She retired from Wal-Mart, where she happily worked as a greeter. Her position gave her the opportunity to let her witty personality shine. She never met a stranger and truly enjoyed assisting, talking with, and joking with others. She leaves to cherish memories: Her devoted daughter, Clarita (Forrest) Thompson of Arlington, Texas; two beautiful granddaughters, Ebony & Asia Thompson; one sister, Josephine Smith of Detroit, Michigan; three brothers, Timothy (Carlotta) Russell, of Mobile, Alabama, Walter (Thomasine) Russell, and John (Sally) Russell, all of Hartford, CT; her best friend, Mrs. Genie Stephens, of Mobile, Alabama; her sister in law, Rebecca Russell of Mobile, Alabama; her "Texas children" Kevin (Latrisha) Smith of Arlington, Texas; many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom she dearly loved.
