FORT WORTH -- Polina Shinskaya Ukaz, 59, a loving wife, mother and friend, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2007. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Beth-El Congregaton, 4901 Briarhaven Road. Rabbi Ned Soltz, Congregation Beth-Shalom, will officiate. Burial: Polina will be laid to rest next to her son, Alexander, in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: She will lie in state on Thursday in the Drawing Room at Robertson Mueller Harper; her husband will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Bearers of her casket will be Wesley Bowers, Francisco Gonzales, Andrew Martin, David Perraul, Raymond Rogers and Slava Serebro. Memorials: Consideration of contributions, in lieu of flowers, to a charity of one's choice, in memory of Polina, is suggested. A native of the Ukraine, Polina Shinskaya was born June 25, 1947. She had been an employee at Sam's Club for the past four years, mostly working in "Demo-Sales." Because of her Russian accent and her wonderful personality, Polina met many friends while working there. She had a contagious smile that brought a lot of happy customers back to Sam's. Not only will she be missed by her family and friends, but all Sam's employees and customers who had a chance to meet her.
