BEDFORD -- Rachel Lauren Overby Czudak passed away Thursday afternoon, April 11, 2013, during her 37th year, surrounded by her loving family. Service: 11 a.m. Monday on the hillside of Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, with Brother Tim Wetzel officiating. Born Dec. 21, 1975, in Bedford, Rachel was the daughter of Larry Overby and Sharolyn Mumford Overby. She was a graduate of L.D. Bell High School and the University of North Texas in Denton. She worked at Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad as a safety analyst. Rachel met the love of her life at a neighborhood gathering, and two kindred spirits recognized one another immediately. Rachel and Trevor filled the next six years with a lifetime of love, beauty, fun . . . and most importantly devotion to one another. Rachel will be remembered by all who knew her as the most faithful and loving wife, most favorite first-born child, prized and admired oldest sister and cousin, most favorite niece, proud aunt, and most loyal friend God has ever created. Along with her passion for family and friends, Rachel was the consummate organizer of great times! There was always a trip or party or good deed to be done on the horizon that Rachel made happen. And, they happened flawlessly . . . with lots of fun and laughter bringing everything and everyone together. Her gifts of love, fun, friendship, loyalty and faithfulness will be greatly missed. Rachel was preceded in death by her favorite aunt and friend, Marolyn Meltzer; Grandpa Mumford; great-aunt, Lucy; and Nanny and Grandpa Overby. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Trevor, and steadfast bowser companion, Rusty, Rachel is survived by her mother and father; sisters, Jaclyn Overby and Lauren Overby; cousins, Adam Meltzer and Grant Meltzer; uncle, Bob Meltzer; stepmother, Denise Overby; stepsisters, Mitzi Carrara and Mandi Matlock; aunt and uncle, Debie and Steve Dault; Grandmother Mumford; and new niece, London Grace.
