Rafael Marquez

FORT WORTH -- Rafael Marquez, age 56, passed Tuesday night, April 24, 2012, surrounded by loving family and friends, after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Celebration of life: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church, 3419 East Belknap St., Fort Worth. Rafael and his family of origin immigrated to this country from Varadero, Cuba, in 1961. They soon found their home in the Riverside area where later he and his wife made their family. We will miss his candor, keen humor and appreciation of the arts. Survivors: Rafael is survived by Lisa, his wife of 30 years; their grown sons, Max and Aaron Marquez; his sister, Vivian Narvaez; nephew, Alex Narvaez; cousin, Oswaldo Curbello; aunt, Bebe Hernandez; and many new and lifelong friends.
